Friendly and informed staff at our CANSA Help Desk provide compassionate support, information and referrals for anything related to CANSA’s services for cancer patients, caregivers and loved ones.

Tele Counselling

Make an appointment for free CANSA Tele Counselling with a trained CANSA counsellor, by submitting the online form.

This is confidential, professional, cancer-related telephonic counselling to cancer patients, caregivers and their families and parents or guardians of children living with cancer.

Counselling is available in seven languages (English, Afrikaans, isiXhosa, isiZulu,siSwati, Sesotho and Setswana) and is free of charge.

Support Resources for cancer Survivors & Loved Ones

CANSA is committed to connecting people facing cancer with information, day-to-day help as well as emotional support they need in the communities where they live. Our aim is to ensure that cancer Survivors and their loved ones don’t have to face cancer alone; we’re here to support them through every step of their cancer journey.*

CANSA does not prescribe or provide medication, as it is not authorised to do so.

However, our clincial specialist nurse, Sr Vlooi Venter vventer@cansa.org.za is able to provide free advice with regards to management of side effects of cancer, side effects of cancer treatment and pain.
