As a Life or Annual Member you will be entitled:
- To cast your vote – in person or by proxy – at our national Annual General Meeting (AGM) and be able to influence CANSA policy decisions and the appointment of Council Members at both regional and national levels.
- To help keep CANSA accountable to the South African public in keeping with our mandate of cancer research, education and support to assist those affected by cancer
- To receive our regular, informative eNewsletters to keep you up to date with our latest news and service offerings
If you are looking to make a difference in your community by helping to reduce the number of cancer-related deaths, then you have come to the right place.
By partnering with CANSA you will assist with the following:
- Heighten your community’s awareness regarding cancer and how to lower personal cancer risk
- Encourage regular screening for cancer to promote early detection and timeous treatment
- Lobby for awareness and change at governmental level regarding cancer-causing agents (carcinogens)
- Increase awareness regarding products which promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle
- Offer support to those who have cancer: free counselling and support groups, specialist advice regarding managing side effects of treatment and pain, home based care services, accommodation during cancer treatment for patients living far from treatment centres and accommodation for parents whose children are receiving treatment far from home, online resources and support groups and assistance from our CANSA Help Desk via our toll free line, WhatsApp, email and social media platforms
- Help fund CANSA research
Notice of AGM
The AGM for CANSA will be held on the 31st October 2025.
The cut-off date for membership registration for CANSA’s 2025 AGM will be the 29 August 2025. All members whose forms / payments are received after this date will not have voting rights at the AGM.
