Having a mastectomy or lumpectomy is a traumatic experience, and we know how a breast cancer patient’s confidence can be restored when she is fitted with a prosthesis or prostheses, and bra that suits her body type and shape.

CANSA has partnered with the M Store extending its service to include the fitting of breast prostheses, supply of mastectomy reconstruction & lumpectomy bras, mastectomy swimwear, and supply of lymphoedema garments, to restore femininity, confidence and comfort to women after a mastectomy, lumpectomy or breast reconstruction.

The M Store is a group of orthotic & prosthetic practices that specialise in fitting & supplying breast prostheses, garments & brassiere after breast surgery.
The practices provide a boutique style environment where women are consulted and fitted with suitable prostheses, brassieres or garments by internationally certified mastectomy fitters.

Knitted Knockers
Knitted Knockers are affordable hand knitted breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies, or similar breast procedures.
They are softer and lighter than other prostheses, comfortable to wear and can be placed in any regular bra. They are available in a variety of colours, to suit various skin tones.
Knitting volunteers may purchase the kits for R65, from our CANSA Care Centres.
Once the prostheses are knitted, they may be dropped off at the Care Centres and are distributed to cancer patients in need, free of charge.
