Type A Research Projects

We currently fund and support three research projects at universities and other research institutions across South Africa concerning epidemiology, early diagnosis, lowering cancer risk, and optimising patient care. The purpose of this funding is to support high-quality research to advance management and improve outcomes for the most common cancers in South Africa. These projects are defined as Type A Research. We are one of the very few public-funded organisations in South Africa that has sustainable funding for research and we are one of the largest sponsors of this kind of research in the country.
