Join the 2024 Hollard Daredevil Run – Take Charge of Your Health & Face Life’s unSures Head On

Join thousands of brave participants on Friday, 1 November, for the 2024 Hollard Daredevil Run and make a bold statement in the fight against prostate and testicular cancer. Whether you prefer to run solo or with a group, anywhere in South Africa, or join the battalion of cancer warriors at Zoo Lake in Johannesburg, your presence matters!

As the proud flagship sponsor of the Daredevil Run, Hollard is on a mission to create a meaningful impact. We’re fostering a culture where men feel empowered to talk openly about their health, especially when it comes to male cancers, their risks, symptoms, and the crucial importance of early detection.

The Hollard Daredevil Run is dedicated to supporting those who have previously felt unsupported in their cancer journey. Early detection of prostate and testicular cancer can transform the unprotected into the protected, with a 95% survival rate for early-detected prostate cancer and over 98% for early-stage testicular cancer.

Every step you take in the Hollard Daredevil Run helps fund testing, awareness, support, and research through CANSA and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of South Africa.

Register now at Ticketpro and receive your Hollard Daredevil registration pack via courier.

Registrations now open to run cancer outta your hood or business.

Runners from Johannesburg can once again join thousands of other daredevils at the annual Zoo Lake event to run 5km at 3pm on Friday 1 November, while participants elsewhere can register to run on their own or in groups anywhere in the country.

Are you brave enough to bare it all?

Why we run

Running in a Speedo may seem wild, but it’s for a serious cause—testicular cancer is most common in men aged 15-35 and is one of the most treatable cancers when detected early. By baring it all, we’re encouraging men to be bold enough to check themselves and take proactive steps for their health.

Testimonial: “Participating in the Daredevil Run was a powerful experience for me. I ran for my friend who fought and survived testicular cancer. It was a fun way to make a difference and raise cancer awareness.” Angelo, 2019 Participant

The Daredevil challenge

“It’s 5 kilometres, a Speedo and an unforgettable experience taking place in various centres around South Africa. Whether you sprint, jog, or walk, every step you take is a step towards raising awareness and raising funds for cancer research. One hundred percent (100%) of proceeds from the event go directly to supporting testicular cancer research and other cancer awareness programs. Last year, we raised nearly R700,000, which funded early detection initiatives for men.” Oscar, 2023 Participant

How you can get involved

Even if you can’t walk or run this year, you can still support the Daredevils in their mission. We partner with trusted organisations to ensure that your contributions make a real difference. Donate, spread the word, or simply show up and cheer on the brave participants as they hit the streets with nothing but courage and Speedos.

Meet the Daredevils

Every participant has their own story, but they all share one goal—raising awareness for testicular and prostate cancer. Meet the Daredevils, hundreds of men , united by a common cause. From cancer survivors to those running or walking for loved ones, these brave men are sharing their experiences to bring attention to the importance of early cancer detection.

The Daredevil Run isn’t just another event—it’s a powerful way to start conversations about men’s health.
