Ms Lenore Spies (Moderator)
Chairperson of the Dietetics and Nutrition Professional Board (DNB) of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) 2020-2025.
Prof HM Nkwana (UNISA)
Prof Nkwana is an accomplished scholar with a special focus on how food insecurity affects women. Some of her research has focused on evaluating household food and nutrition security strategies in South Africa and assessing how to monitor and evaluate the impact of these programs.
Dr Brittany Kesselman (UCT/WITS)
Her current research focuses on agroecology and indigenous foodways. Other research interests include decolonizing the food system, community food institutions, food justice, food sovereignty, urban agriculture, and sustainable food systems. Grounded in a commitment to social justice, her work uses feminist, decolonial research methodologies to contribute to food system transformation.
