CANSA Vacancy – Health Promotion Manager
The Cancer Association of South Africa has a vacancy for the following position: Health Promotion Manager
Position Details:
- Permanent position based in Durban, KwaZulu – Natal
- Traveling will be required
- The salary package and benefits offered are commensurate with the NPO industry
- Plan, coordinate, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on CANSA’s health
promotion and community-based programmes. - Increase public awareness of cancer prevention, early detection, screening and healthy lifestyle behaviours through health education, community engagement and outreach initiatives.
- Coordinate and oversee national health promotion and donor-funded programmes, ensuring achievement of programme objectives, deliverables and performance targets.
- Monitor programme outcomes, budgets, timelines and quality standards, and prepare reports for management, funders and stakeholders.
- Lead health awareness campaigns, educational initiatives, wellness days, exhibitions, workplace programmes and community events.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government departments, NGOs, community organisations, educational institutions, local government structures, funders and donors.
- Collect, analyse and interpret programme data to measure impact, support organisational KPI reporting and recommend improvements.
- Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring and support to regional programme staff, ensuring effective programme implementation and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, donor requirements and stakeholder
expectations.
