CANSA Attends Launch of the Pan African Cancer Research Institute as an Official Partner to Transform the Fight Against Cancer

The University of Pretoria (UP) has launched the Pan African Cancer Research Institute (PACRI). The theme was Transforming the Fight against Cancer in Africa: From Cancer Control and Prevention to Novel Therapeutics for Improved Health Outcomes.
The launch was held as a two-day event on 24 & 25 February 2022 at UP’s Future Africa Institute and featured various speakers, including international oncology experts, government officials, academics, and representatives from non-governmental organisations. CANSA’s CEO, Elize Joubert, attended the launch and participated in a panel discussion, and gave a message of support at the gala event. Read her speech.
