bounti Gets the CANSA Seal of Recognition
Leader Meets Leader in Reducing Cancer Risk Factors
6 April 2022 – Pioneering rebounding brand, bounti, has received the highly sought-after Seal of Recognition by CANSA, a leader in the fight against cancer in SA, since 1931. The purpose of CANSA is to offer a unique, integrated service to the public and to all people affected by cancer. The CANSA Seal was introduced to encourage South Africans to read product labels and to assist them in making informed choices – the aim being to promote smart, balanced lifestyles and to encourage people to make a proactive effort in reducing their cancer risk.

Significant research has been done on the benefits of rebounding, the value proposition of low-impact exercise, and the lymphatic system value sets. In short, rebounding aids lymphatic circulation. The lymphatic and cardiovascular system work together to keep blood and lymphatic fluid levels balanced and flush out toxins. (12) Your lymphatic system also moves your immune cells throughout your body to create a defence against infections. (1)
There is strong evidence that higher levels of physical activity are linked to lower risk of several types of cancer. (2) (3) Every cancer survivor should maintain some level of physical activity. (4)
CANSA is very excited to partner with bounti and promote the importance of regular physical activity as part of the prevention of cancer. Bounti’s programmes and classes using rebounding equipment, are presented by exercise instructors who are accredited by a recognised body ensuring up-to-date skills and knowledge in the field of fitness.
“CANSA supports always consulting your Healthcare and Fitness Professional before starting any fitness programme or using any equipment to determine if it is right for your needs’, says Megan Pentz-Kluyts, CANSA’s nutrition and dietetics consultant.
bounti, the brainchild of renowned rebounding instructor and coach Lisa Raleigh, is home of the most comprehensive rebounding workout collection in the country. The bounti collection extends to a range of locally and internationally crafted rebounders and all supportive equipment and accessories.
Lisa, with more than 12 years of wellness leadership, has grown the bounti brand into a global entity, with a recent extension into the UK.
CANSA has endorsed both the bounti equipment, classes and their programmes (5), bringing the bounti brand firmly on to centre stage in ongoing efforts to reduce cancer risk factors, such as inactivity and obesity.
What is rebounding?
Rebounding is choreographed movement on a mini-trampoline. It is one of the quickest, safest ways to rebuild muscle mass and improve overall strength and fitness levels. This is because the body works harder when subjected to the constant forces of gravity (as well as the forces of acceleration and deceleration) when bouncing on a mini trampoline, and this has an impact on every cell, muscle, and organ in the body.
