Radio Spots – CANSA Cervical Cancer Awareness and Screening
South African women have a 1 in 40 lifetime risk of cervical cancer (NCR 2017). Cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer related deaths, and the second most common diagnosed cancer (excluding basal cell carcinoma) among SA women.
CANSA encourages women aged 18 to 69 to contact their CANSA Care Centre to make an appointment for a Pap smear, or visit their local clinic or health professional. Early detection saves lives…
CANSA is thankful to Siemens Healthineers for sponsoring the cost of the radio spots and video to raise awareness of cervical cancer.
“When it comes to cancer, we understand that it is not an easy journey and is a path that transforms the lives of both the patient and their loved ones. At Siemens Healthineers we believe that we form part of the community and through our CANSA support initiatives we get to share in the journey and support research, awareness and educational programmes as a means of encouraging early diagnosis and increasing early treatments using both medicine and technology. We believe that we are pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare and when we partner with campaigns such as this one, we are shaping the future of cancer treatment and awareness.” – Nandi Marubelela, Head of Enterprise Services and Sustainability, Siemens Healthineers South Africa
