CANSA Mobile Health Unit in action for CANSA Central Gauteng region

During May the CANSA Mobile Health Unit visited Bryanston Park in Randburg for cancer screening
for the Vandia Gardens Residents Association (VGRA).

The target group was the domestic workers in that community with some commenting
that they had never had a Pap smear before.

A total of 44 Pap smears was conducted and many women educated on the importance
of early detection of breast and cervical cancer.

The Mobile Health Unit will be visiting other areas in coming months:
27 and 28 June, the Unit will be at Shelley Park, Randburg to conduct screening.
