Special Discussion: Leadership in the Fight Against NCDs
As part of the Global Week for Action on NCDs (18–25 September), a special conversation was hosted with the Heart and Stroke Foundation SA, Diabetes SA, and the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) on the urgent role of leadership of tackling NCDs in Africa.
This year’s theme – Time to Lead! – reminds us that we have only a small window to make real progress.
The upcoming UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health on 25 September 2025, is where leaders’ pledges must become reality.
