CANSA & U.S. Chamber of Commerce Host Virtual Discussion: Importance Early Cancer Screening and Detection

CANSA and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce held a Virtual Discussion ‘Investment in Cancer: Opportunities to Support Patients and Drive Economic Recovery through Early Detection’ on 7 December 2021.

The event will took place under the theme of Universal Health Coverage Day (UHC Day) ‘Leave No One’s Health Behind: Invest in Health Systems for All’.

The discussion focussed on the partnership potential of all stakeholders to positively impact the health of the South African workforce and their families by increasing their access to cancer screenings. Speakers also discussed the impact of COVID-19 on cancer care, and how investment in cancer screenings can drive economic recovery and resiliency.
