CANSA Partners with Paramount to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

CANSA is excited to announce a new partnership with Paramount to broadcast a Public Service Announcement (PSA) aimed at raising awareness around breast cancer and educating women on how to lower their cancer risk. This vital campaign highlights the importance of early detection, which can save lives.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer affecting women of all races in South Africa, with a lifetime risk of 1 in 26, according to the National Cancer Registry of 2022. It can impact women of all ages, though the risk increases as they get older. Through this partnership, we hope to reach as many women as possible, encouraging them to take proactive steps toward early detection and prevention.

The PSA we have collaborated on with Paramount carries an educational message, and with Comedy Central’s unique sense of humour infused into it, we believe it will resonate with women of all ages. CANSA is committed to empowering communities with knowledge and promoting regular screenings, as early detection of breast cancer can make all the difference.
