Insurance Zone Raises Funds for a 3rd Car for CANSA
Insurance Zone held a CANSA Vegas Nights fundraiser at the Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference Centre on Wednesday 12th September 2012. The function had an elegant Vegas Nights theme and was an overwhelming success. The aim of this evening was to raise additional funds for the purchase of a third vehicle for CANSA.
This initiative was started by Insurance Zone in May of 2012, and over the following four months enough money was raised via various internal and external events to purchase two brand new Hyundai i10’s for CANSA. The keys to the cars were presented to the CANSA CEO Sue Janse Van Rensburg on the night by Insurance Zone’s Managing Director, Alan Johnston.
The “Vegas Nights” team facilitated the gambling evening with Poker, Black Jack, Roulette and more. The 200 plus guests crowded around the tables with great enthusiasm, and from 8pm the bets were on. Duane Rockwell was kind enough to volunteer his time as MC for the evening, and drew the crowd in by giving away spot prizes, as well as auctioning off various items that were sponsored, including a Sony 40’ television, a model Ferrari signed by none other than Rory Byrne the Ferrari formula 1 designer, a Monte Blanc Pen, cases of Bertrams vintage wine, as well as weekends away at the Birchwood and Critchley Hackle Lodge.
All in all, a great night was enjoyed by all, and through the additional funds raised at the gambling tables as well as the auctioned off items, Insurance Zone was able to raise sufficient funds for the purchase of a third Hyundai i10 for CANSA.
CANSA joins Insurance Zone in thanking all of Insurance Zone’s clients, service providers, friends and family for the generous support they provided for this very worthy cause. Whether it was through a cash donation, sponsorship or purely purchasing a ticket to attend the event, it would not have been the success it was without their kindness and generosity.
